Many battery applications are well suited to be powered by NiMH rechargeable batteries. In general, devices that require large amounts of energy and are used frequently are well matched to the performance characteristics of NiMH batteries. This project is a low power wireless charger designed for hearing aids that use NiMH coin cell battery. This design features LTC4123 that is a low power wireless receiver and a constant-current/constant-voltage linear charger for NiMH batteries. An external resistor sets the charge current up to 25mA. The temperature compensated charge voltage feature protects the NiMH battery and prevents overcharging. Read more
